Good Lord J, you never cease to amaze me...   :snicker:

...and I actually used to own a Weim named Fritz.  He was my best friend.  I had never then, nor have I since, found a dog that was capable of showing emotions like embarrassment and disgust quite so well.

Incredible dogs, and if I ever leave the city I shall get another.

Since I first saw the Sesame Street clip (probably on Fresh Loaf) I have shown it to Zeb on various occasions but he says he would rather I carried on making liver cake and other doggy delights and he has no intention of being a muse like Wegman's Fay Ray or of wearing a pinny.   I have been a bit slack in the dog baking department lately, dogs older and fatter and not needing so many inducements to behave appropriately as when they were young. But those biscuits look brilliant and I forgot to say so earlier  ;D  Happy dogs you must have!

After I'd seen that recipe on WildYeastBlog.com, I had thought about making dog biscuits and again a week or so back, when our current stash was running low. But then a new bucket appeared so we're well stocked for a fair while. I will have to get it together when I'm both baking bread and the treats bucket is running low.

In the meantime, our dogs will just have to suffer with eggs benedict. Poor dogs.

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

The scary part is that they are fairly tasty.  I ate one just to see...

Steve,  you are an inspiration :D  so I've baked sourdough biscuits too for the dog's birthday. I might have to eat them for supper as I haven't got a clue what we're having either... :snicker:

They look good enough to eat - and by golly, I have!  Looking at the ingredient list it is no surprise I suppose...

Fair play to Zeb, he deserves them!
