Bread Baking Day #30
« on: May 07, 2010, 04:36:08 AM »
Hi guys!
For those of you unfamiliar with Bread Baking Day, it is a monthly round-up of breads - started by Zorra of Kochtopf http://kochtopf.twoday.net/stories/4124192/ - based on a different theme every month.
It will appeal to the mellow, as participation is always optional. Jump in if you have the time or inclination.

This month I am hosting(!) and the Bread Baking Theme is Twisted Breads. Braids, knots, plaits, twists, spirals...
Feel free to join in! pompom

Oh goody! I'm making pretzels this week to try out the liquid food lye I got from the Asian grocery store. I'll post and submit the result. :)

I'll see if I can't wrassle the Grissini into something "twisty"...
I have an idea rolling around in my head :hmm: I'll need to check my plumbing supplies...

liquid food lye, now I´m interested. What is it used for originally? is it a basic asian food supply?
My parents stopped making their own lutfisk (lutefish) due to lye being so hard to find
