Here is my country bread - always a favourite! I am using some of the "old bread" from this for the dark bread.

Mmm! Looks like a very happy bread  :D

Are you going to toast or bake the bread before you use it as a soaker? That will deepen the taste and the colour, I think JH suggests doing that in the book.

soaker - I used it as-is, about 3 days old.

I made it again yesterday, it is a good all-around bread.

Mmmm...your bread looks delicious!  I thought this one was a bit lacking in flavor, but your version looks so good.  It does look happy.
