Jacqueline's Hot Cross Buns

Made these last weekend, and they are indeed an awesome little bun. Sweet but not too sweet, spicy but not too spicy, and nice and light. They are nice toasted even when a week old. My only problem was the crossing paste - it burned in the oven, then crumbled off the finished bun with the slightest touch. Next time I will use plain flour and water. But apart from that a great hot cross bun!

Hi Jacqueline,
I agree with you completely on the level of sugar and spice! I gave most of mine away as I didn't think they would keep for long. now I wish I had one with coffee!
