Cathy's Black Bread
« on: August 25, 2011, 02:45:50 PM »
I actually made the Black Bread.  I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it has a very interesting flavor. I'm glad I tried it.  I only tasted a slice or two because I wanted to give it to my friend from Romania.  He really likes dark breads so I knew he would enjoy it.  He did.  He said he couldn't really taste the flavor of the coffee, it was the rye that came through for him.  He's a rye lover so I guess that's a good thing.  He said it tastes really good with tomatoes.

Way to go Cathy! Yours looks blacker - & much more appetising - than mine.

Very nice bread, indeed. Your Romanian friend is lucky!

Looks great! I'm looking forward to this one. Maybe I'll start the starter tonight. Cheers!
