Melanie's Potato Bread w/ Roasted Onion
« on: July 08, 2011, 11:07:01 AM »
Being my first loaf of potato bread, I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful taste of this bread.  However, I did have a bit of trouble with excess moisture after addition of the onions.  I quickly forgot these frustrations though, after tasting this bread.  Super delicious!!!  :yumm:

Here's my blog post as well:

Nice loaf and nice blog post! I will keep your suggestion for setting the onions on paper towels in mind.

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

My onions were really wet, too, although I didn't end up adding any extra flour. I just used their oilyness (?) to help me handle the dough. So glad you liked this one...I think your loaves look beautiful!

Melanie,

Any chance that you could post the recipe for this bread, as I do not have the book at present.  I am new to Mellow Bakers and so I am not sure if I should even ask, or if you ever post recipes.  Thanks.
